Feeds are saturated. Groups are not, which is why they still hand out reach that no amount of spending can replicate.

Why Groups Still Work
Group members chose the topic explicitly. That single act of joining filters the audience more sharply than any targeting option, which is why a post that helps in a group of two thousand can outperform a page post seen by fifty thousand.
The catch is that groups are moderated by humans who have seen every form of self-promotion. The reach exists, but the entry price is relevance.
There is a second advantage most people miss: group posts surface in the group's own search weeks later. A practical answer keeps being found long after the feed has moved on, which is the closest thing to evergreen reach on the platform.
The Value-First Rule
Contribute for two weeks before posting anything of your own. Answer questions in your area, add detail to other people's threads, and be recognisable when your name appears again.
Then post something that stands on its own without a link. If the post is only useful once someone clicks through, it is an advertisement, and moderators treat it accordingly.
A Format That Survives Group Rules
- Lead with the answer, not with context or a greeting
- Keep it text-first โ a paragraph people can read without tapping anything
- Add the video or image as support, not as the point
- One link maximum, and only if the group allows links at all
- No hashtag walls โ they read as automation and get filtered
That format works because it respects the reader. It also tends to get shared into other groups, which is where the real reach comes from.

Pages Versus Groups
A page is a shop window: reach is limited unless you pay, and the audience is passive. A group is a room: reach is limited by relevance, and the audience talks.
For a small account, the practical split is to use groups to find people and pages to be credible to them. Groups generate conversations; pages give a stranger something to check before following.
Finding the Right Groups
Look for groups where questions outnumber promotions โ that ratio tells you more than the member count. A group of 1,500 people asking each other things is worth ten groups of 50,000 where everybody is selling.
Join five, read for a week, and stay in the two where the conversation is closest to your topic. Breadth looks impressive and converts badly.
What Gets You Removed
Posting the same video to twelve groups on the same afternoon. Asking people to follow you somewhere else in the first sentence. Dropping a link with no context. Any post that begins "sorry for posting this here".
Moderators are volunteers with long memories. One removal follows you into every group where the same person moderates, and rebuilding takes months.
Measuring Whether It Worked
Ignore the view count on the group post. Watch three things instead: comments from people you did not know, profile visits in the following 48 hours, and follows from the platform you actually want to grow.
If the comments come but the follows do not, the group is the wrong audience or your profile is unclear. That distinction is worth knowing before you spend another month posting into it.
The Reason It Is Not Scalable
Groups cannot be bought, automated or multiplied. Each one has its own culture and its own moderators, and every one of them requires the same two weeks of contribution before it gives anything back.
That is precisely why the reach is still available. Anything that could be scaled is already saturated, and the remaining pockets of attention are the ones that require patience instead of budget.
